Are You as Uncomfortable as I am? (2018)

two plate, Spitbite, intaglio print on rives bfk 11x11 in

I translate my thoughts and emotions during a time when I felt especially uncomfortable in a period of transition. having moved away from places I called home twice in three months, I explore what it felt like to miss my bed, a place I found comfort and solace for most of my life. I question whether the viewer is uncomfortable or as uncomfortable as I am, inviting dialogue. I pose this question as a way for others to be able to check in with themselves, as well as doing the same for myself.
